I remember the very day I decided to call myself L0ve365. I was in a course as part of the League of Art Entrepreneurs program. Our mentor was talking about branding and our artist name. I had already signed my paintings L0ve365 but I was not sure if I wanted to keep it. I had never really thought about what it meant in depth. I had been called MiSi by some loved ones after I had adopted the name for myself and had signed paintings with that name as well. Once I was still enough to look up misi it surprised me. I had just taken the first two letters of my first name and the first two letters of my last name and put them together. I even spelled it with a capital m and capital s to indicate that in the visual. It was just a shortened version of my name as far as I was concerned. the name actually meant the same as my original first name, Michelle, in some nations and it meant even more in others. I thought, "Wow this name means more than I thought, I'll sign my paintings with it.", and I did so until I completed my Isaiah 60:1-5 piece. It was the first painting I had completed after rediscovering my desire to be creative and possibly use it as a LIVELIHOOD. Fast forward to our LAE session and there I was being faced with the duty to define that name. I had not given it much thought until that day. I'm sure I looked like a space CADET in class when I asked the mentor out loud if I could really call myself L0ve365. It sounded weird to say it and at that point so did "I'm an artist". My gears started grinding as I recalled the origin of the name.
I was working at the federal reserve bank of Atlanta. They had some tight password requirements for their security of course. 1 of each Capital letter, lower case letter, number, and symbol. I chose L0ve#365 for mine and typically just VARIED the symbol so that I would not have to keep remembering each time my password expired. It sort of stuck with me because of the idea of love every day. when I was introduced to twitter i dropped the symbol and made it my username. the first thing i posted was a Work In progress photo of a small piece i was working on at the time. i later reserved the name on many social networks and wanted to use it for things other than artwork. once I signed that painting with it i began to find deeper meaning in it, The lyrics to Rufus Featuring Chaka Khan in the song circles really made me love the name as well as how I chose to use a zero in it.

I saw the zero that was substituted for the o as something that added more value to the name just like a zero does when added behind a number. The number 5 goes to 50, 50 goes to 500 when another zero is added and so forth. in that very basic sense of application, zero adds value although in the actual sense it is typically considered nothing. in the case of my name it adds value to the love concept of it all. the right kind of love is the most valuable thing anyone can have.
